How do I apply for WES evaluation from India?
You can follow the following steps in order to request a WES evaluation from India.
1 – Create a WES account.
You will need to create your account on the official WES website.
2 – Submit your documents.
Read all the document requirements prior to submitting them. Each of your transcripts must be attested and sealed by the issuing University or Autonomous Institute.
If your university doesn’t have the electronic transmission option:
send your documents directly to WES in a sealed envelope that is signed or stamped across the back flap by the appropriate authentication officer.
3 – Submit the application for processing.
Click on the submit button after reviewing all the details in your application. Any spelling errors or misspelled words may cause a delay in processing the report.
4 – Record the reference number that is displayed on the screen
You need to include the WES Reference number on all your documents, envelopes, and correspondences for the final visa application. Your reference number is a WES I.D. that groups your documents to avoid any delays in processing time.
What are the different types of WES evaluations?
1 – Document-by-Document Evaluation: For freshman University admissions and employment.
2 – Course-by-Course Evaluation: For course analysis and grade point equivalence for transfer and graduate university admissions and licensing boards.
3 – Evaluation for Immigration or Education Credential Evaluation (ECA)
What documents are required for the WES evaluation for Indian students?
1. Degree Certificate (Final or Provisional)
This should be a clear, legible photocopy of the final or provisional degree certificate.

2. Statement of Marks (University Issued and Attested)
This is an official document issued by the institution responsible for conducting the examinations (e.g. university or autonomous college). It contains all courses taken and marks earned for each year of study and must include your university student ID. WES does not accept college-issued report card unless from an autonomous college.
What are the challenges to WES Evaluation?
1. While the evaluation process itself takes about a week or so, their stringent requirement related to documentation makes it harder for students to complete the application with them.
